2011-October 22

This past weekend we started the race with a "missing man" pace lap in honor of Dan Wheldon, who lost his life in a racing accident at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on October 17th.

I started in 8th but moved to 3rd by lap 1. I was battling for 2nd with the #2 car when the lead car of #7 lost his rear gears and was done for the night. The #30 & #51 cars were able to catch up to us and pass us. Now I was in 4th. Finally, on the white flag lap I was able to make an outside move and get past the #2 car, for a 3rd place finish. I now have a 16 point advantage for Rookie of the Year!

The last race of the season is on Saturday, November 5th.
